Tense, nervous headache

Oh well, it's done. I've put my entry into the Rhondda Heritage Park Open Art competition. There is some superb work in there and I don't expect to win any sort of prize. If the judges just select my work to be in the gallery, that would be more than I could ask for. It would be wonderful to see my work on the wall after all these years.

I've called it 'From Her Garden'. I have to wait nearly two weeks to find out if it will be hung. Stomach is going to be turning knots every minute until then :s

Ok. So my challenge was to create an organic style stitch marker from these beads.

I potched about with some bronze chain that I had left over and bronze eye pins in keeping with the algae flavour of the beads. They also remind me of turtle shell!

I hope the result is ok Bek! If they are no good curved, I can straighten them out.

Humph!

Got loads of tidying up to do but just want to play with beads. Going to try and get all tidying done in the next hour and then have the afternoon to play!

Virgin blogger

I'm new to all of this but thanks to Rebekka Leigh Thomas I'm now up and running. She's given me a challenge to create some 'stitch markers' so tomorrow I will see if I can come up with something exciting - too tired now and hubby insists that I sit and watch Family Guy with him :s so that doesn't lend much inspiration to beading tonight!

Glad its raining though, perhaps things will cool down a bit now. And from watching Quaver sitting by the back door looking quietly at the rain, I get the impression she is thinking the same.
